Wall Size: 38,500 sq.ft.
Location: Rockville, Maryland
Wall Builder: Comp Wall, expansion by Eldorado
When Earth Treks opened their Rockville location in December of 2005 it was not the biggest gym in America. That didn’t come until 2011 when they embarked on an expansion that included more climbing space, more fitness space and new bathrooms. All of this is housed in a 29,000 sq. ft. building.
Earth Treks is one of the major players in the climbing gym industry with four facilities in Maryland and Colorado. President and Founder, Chris Warner has been in the game longer than most and is one of the pioneers in the industry.
ET rightfully claims the title of biggest gym in the country…for now.
