Nathaniel Coleman Re-Signs to Gnarly Nutrition Athlete Team

Salt Lake City, UT — Gnarly Nutrition is excited to share that climber Nathaniel Coleman has re-signed to their athlete team as he prepares to compete in this year’s summer Olympics.

“Gnarly Nutrition is committed to improving people’s nutrition, training and the knowledge of nutrition in climbing and other sports,” said Coleman. “Gnarly products really do help me stay on top of my nutrition, especially if I don’t feel like cooking a big meal after a big workout. A Gnarly protein shake is always an easy alternative.”

Coleman, currently 24, first started climbing at age 9. Within a month of pulling plastic in the gym, he was tackling 5.10s. At 14, Coleman placed fourth at Youth Bouldering Nationals in Boulder, Colorado. In 2019, Coleman became the first American male to qualify for the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo. Coleman also has a long list of impressive outdoor sends, including a recent first ascent of Little Cottonwood Canyon’s The Grand Illusion (V16).

Coleman will continue to utilize the full line of Gnarly products to enhance his training, performance and recovery.

“I remember years ago watching Nathaniel crush our local comps as a young teenager. Since then, each year I have seen Nathaniel grow as an athlete, a human and as a friend. Gnarly is honored to have him on our team and to support such a phenomenal athlete and genuine, solid person,” said Gnarly Nutrition CEO Eli Kerr. “Nathaniel continually impresses me with his performance and his life choices. Nathaniel is the kind of athlete we want to be around more.”
