Stone Climbing, which opened in Saint Augustine, Florida in 2021, has just announced a new state-of-the-art facility in Jacksonville, Florida. The 16,000-square-foot plus facility will be opening in Spring 2025 and will include 50-foot lead walls, over 5000 square feet of bouldering, a Moonboard and Tension 2, a well-equipped fitness center, and a recovery zone with a sauna and cold baths.

Keeping with the original location’s clean aesthetic, they will be incorporating artwork, natural light, and Vertical Solutions walls in the design. The building is designed by Stone Member and local architect Connor Dowling of Open City Architecture.

“With the rapid expansion of big gyms from out of state into the Florida market, we wanted to keep climbing local in Northeast Florida. We have such a strong climbing community here that deserves a modern facility built by folks who care about them. This space has so much love and thoughtfulness going into it, it’s going to be special. It will be a place that inspires people to achieve their personal and climbing goals.” – Eric Hires, Co-Founder and CEO of Stone Climbing
