rendering of altitude climbingOrléans, Tuesday January 31, 2023 – This Friday, February 3, at 9:30 a.m., it is with great pleasure that the Altitude Gym team invites you to the press conference announcing the opening of its third climbing centre, located at 265 Centrum Blvd. in Orléans.

Altitude Gym opened its first centre in 2010 in Gatineau and has since continued to innovate and get involved in its community, notably by creating a fabulous outdoor climbing park and a mega training room in 2021 and 2022.

The company is thinking big. In 2018, the banner opened a second climbing centre in Kanata with a climbing area so huge (40,000 square feet) that it became one of the largest climbing centres in Canada! Since then, Altitude Gym’s reputation has spread beyond our borders. Today, we are proud to mention that we receive requests for collaboration from all over the world for international competitions, conferences, research, or for the hiring of foreign route setters.

The new Altitude Gym Orléans is an innovative concept with first-rate equipment thanks to partners such as the ONSITE group, for the climbing walls, and Flashed, for its renowned padding systems. The group also chose a diversity of holds and climbing volumes from various countries.

The centre comes with a complete training room equipped by local suppliers such as Gorila Fitness and Fitness l’Entrepôt – Outaouais (FEO). But there’s more: our three specialized training boards will amaze our climbers. They will have a great time with the first 16’X12′ Kilter Board to be released in Canada, the Grasshopper Board and the famous MoonBoard.

In addition, the Orleans centre offers its customers a relaxation area and a gourmet bistro menu under the direction of our chef, Patrick Taylor. The ALT bistro café will also have a bar with microbrewery beers and a wine list. We are currently renovating Kanata’s centre in order to provide the same concept and we are working with the various authorities to offer the same service to our Gatineau clients.

After more than 12 years in this sector, the Altitude Gym Group is just as committed to the sport of climbing as it was in the beginning! Our passion for this discipline keeps growing day after day, even though we had to face many challenges these past years. Because like climbing, the challenges are there to be met and surpassed.

Our thanks also go to our loyal clientele of climbers who inspire us to reach new heights!

Please note: A special announcement will be made at the press conference.
