Gym Manager

Upper Limits Rock Climbing Gym is seeking a full-time General Manager with experience at our Maryland Heights, Missouri location. Climbing skills are not necessary, but preferred. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with an entrepreneurial attitude to co-manage the development and operation of a successful, growing company. Desired Qualifications and Work Style:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Recreation Management or related field
Prior work in customer service environment preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Quickbooks Desktop
Professional appearance and manner with excellent customer service skills
Dependable, self-confident, mature and able to work independently
Positive/upbeat attitude
Flexible, eager to learn and willing to adapt to new responsibilities
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong financial skills
Demonstrate initiative, able to identify and solve problems, able to work independently
Precise, detail-oriented and effective with follow-up
Weekends required; tentative schedule is Thursday-Sunday
Able to stay late and/or arrive early, as needed

Responsibilities include:
Day-to-day operation of the facility, policy development, supervision of designated staff, business planning, budgeting, website, computer system and inventory management, program and customer instruction, safety, service, relations. The General Manager also performs or schedules and oversees maintenance of facilities and equipment and a range of related duties under the general direction of the Owner and other authorized company representatives.
