JOB TITLE: Team ABC Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Team ABC Head Coach, Leadership Team


Located in Boulder, Colorado, ABC Kids Climbing is a unique climbing facility for kids and the home of Team ABC.

Fostering foundational climbing experiences for preschoolers, leading developmental climbing experiences for kids, coaching competitive climbing experiences for athletes and guiding outdoor climbing experiences for families.

We’re here to share unique climbing experiences with kids and families while developing the next generation of youth climbers.

The Team ABC Coordinator (Coordinator) works closely with the Team ABC Head Coach, Team ABC Coach Coordinators and the Leadership Team to support a robust climbing team of ABC youth athletes and a diverse community of ABC children and families. The Coordinator pro-actively organizes and supports competitive, exploratory and foundational team programs, athletes and families. The Team ABC Coordinator demonstrates strong personal skills and maintains a high attention to detail while contributing to a healthy climbing team and company culture.

We’re seeking an experienced youth climbing team coordinator to meaningfully contribute to the Team ABC program with a background that includes strong administrative and communication skills coupled with an understanding of youth competition climbing, affiliations, sponsors and governing bodies. Equally comfortable on the field of play and behind the computer, the team coordinator is people focused and task oriented. The team coordinator is also equally comfortable in front of both children and parents.

  • Experience creating and delivering proposals and presentations
  • Provide a welcoming and inclusive space for all races, religious beliefs, sexual orientations and identities
  • History managing or coaching a youth climbing team and a passion for fostering youth
    climbing experiences a plus


  • Coordinate CMS, POS, and collaborative platforms including Google Workspace
  • Contribute to athlete rosters, curriculum consolidation and presentation
  • Maintain Team ABC correspondence and communication via email, website, newsletters,
    social media and in person
  • Maintain and communicate Team ABC values, philosophies, procedures, protocols and
  • In collaboration with the Head Coach, support coaching staff with personnel, equipment,
    training and educational resources
  • Maintain youth behavioral code of conduct, while supporting Team ABC seasonal athlete
  • Promote Team ABC standards and procedures in accordance with ABC, PCA, CWA and
    USAC guidelines
  • Coordinate with Head Coach and collaborate with co-coaches to implement Team ABC program schedules, curriculums and training plans
  • Contribute to consistent Team ABC athlete / parent communication
  • Deeply understand the Team ABC program track – clearly communicating current and future Team ABC program options
  • Represent the ABC organization as a responsible steward of youth climbing
  • Research and convey past, present and future industry youth studies / trends related to
    physical, mental and social health and well being


  • Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of general CMS, POS and collaborative platforms including Google
  • Create and deliver proposals and presentations to athletes, staff, affiliations and sponsors
  • Punctual, passionate and proud of your work with the drive to develop professionally
  • Passion for sharing experiences and knowledge while organizing around youth climbers
  • Flexibility to work various weekdays, weekday evenings, weekends, events and travel
  • Passionate, enthusiastic and amicable while effectively balancing coach, athlete and parent rapport
  • Knowledge and ability to coach competitive, exploratory, foundational team programs or
    instruct recreational programs a plus

  • USAC Coaching Experience
  • Understanding of USAC/IFSC Rules and Regulations
  • Physical, Mental, Social Youth Development Background


  • Hourly Rate $17 – $22 (range flexible, commensurate with experience)
