    Overview: 

    An Events & Outreach Manager is someone who is passionate about organizing and executing events and climbing competitions, and building and maintaining a strong & diverse community at Sender One. An Events & Outreach Manager embodies the Sender One core values, is proactive, self-motivated, solution driven, and delivers outstanding customer experiences to guests, members, brand partners, sponsors and collaborators.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, and oversee large scale events and climbing competitions from conception to event recap including, but not limited to: Bouldering League, Youth Climbing Competitions, Grand Openings, Summer Send Off;
    • Strategically build out the annual events calendar in collaboration with the Operations team;
    • Develop and maintain community outreach and programs that align with our company’s core values and purpose, specifically–our Sender One Cares Program;
    • Connect, build, and maintain relationships with partners, vendors and non-profit organizations including overseeing donations requests;
    • Solicit event sponsors and ensure mutually beneficial relationships;
    • Train and guide the gym Community Coordinators to execute successful gym level events, outreach events, and meet-ups that align with Sender One’s overarching goals as well each location’s individual goals;
    • Oversee gym level community events, outreach events, and meet-ups structure by setting clear expectations and making resources easily accessible for the gym Community Coordinators;
    • Gather content–photos / videos / verbal and written recaps–at events;
    • Track and monitor event success through attendance, budget, staff feedback, and survey responses;

    Industry Experience:

    • Excellent customer facing experience and skills;
    • Excellent copywriting skills with a relatable and friendly tone;
    • Proficient knowledge of the climbing industry;
    • Proficiency in Google Suite – Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.;
    • Proficiency in Rock Gym Pro (RGP);
    • Understands key marketing and brand strategies;
    • Knowledge of outreach, event, meet-up, and competition trends;
    • Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Tiktok);
    • Knowledge of Canva and WordPress;
    • Skills in photography and/or videography a plus;
    • Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus.

    Time Commitment:

    • Must be able to work 40-50 hours per work week;
    • Must be able to attend a weekly marketing meeting each week;
    • Must be available some weekends and weekday evenings for outreach and events;
    • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between gym locations.
