Ruckus seeks Gym Manager

We are looking for a customer-focused and experienced leader to join our team at Ruckus Climbing Gym in Greensboro, NC. Gym Manager Job Description & Responsibilities

Staff Management:

• Manage recruitment, selection and interviewing of staff
• Schedule and execute new employee orientation and training
• Create and/or oversee employee scheduling
• Manage and schedule annual performance reviews
• Collaborate with Programs Coordinator, Coaching staff, and Head Route Setter

Operations:

• Ensure a top-down focus on great customer experience
• Consistently manage and mitigate risk throughout the facility
• Oversee facility maintenance

Administration:

• Build relationships with members and guests, focusing on community development and growth
• Identify opportunities for improvement in regard to operations, market strategies, and policy implementation
• Maintain POS system and communicate with POS company as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience in leading a successful team of employees
• Proven record at motivating employees and keeping a positive work environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Extensive experience with customer service and customer interaction; outstanding interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working with groups of all ages
• Demonstrated success in sports/entertainment facility management preferred
• Comfortable using social media
• Flexible schedule is required, including evenings and weekends

Compensation:

• Salary commensurate on candidate’s experience (expected range between $50,000-60,000)
• Annual stipend for furthering education within the industry

• This is a full-time position; the candidate will be responsible for working 40+ hours, weekly
