Fulltime Routesetter

Position: Full-Time Routesetter

Pay Scale: $21-$24 hourly, based on experience

Hours: 36-40 hours, weekly

Job Description: This is a career level position with room for advancement in a quickly growing company. PRG Beaverton’s Phase 2 expansion is expected to be fully operational late this summer, making it one of the largest climbing gyms in the country. The ceiling for growth with us is quickly rising.

A full-time Routesetter at PRG is responsible for the regular turn over of routes and boulders at both PRG facilities (Portland and Beaverton.) As a full-time setter you will explore and grow both your Routesetting abilities and your work at heights skills each week with an excited and talented crew. PRG will supply you with everything you need to succeed including all of the necessary gear you will need to perform your daily tasks and complete support from our entire administrative team.

Setters will be expected to set at both of our current gyms (located in NE Portland, Oregon) and our newer facility (located in the west hills of Beaverton, Oregon) weekly.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set and forerun boulders and routes 4 days a week
• Strip routes and boulders as needed
• Wash Holds
• Replace T-nuts
• Wash Walls
• Replace worn-out ropes
• Update and maintain Kaya and Plastick as well as in house tags and signage
• Stay fit and healthy as best as you are able

Desirables:

• USAC Level 1 setting certification or higher
• Ability to forerun V7 and 5.13
• Any additional Work at Heights certifications (Petzl, SPRAT, Etc.)
• 2+ year(s) of commercial Routesetting experience
