    Location: Milton or Guelph Ontario.

    Impact Climbing is looking for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced designer to join our team as a product design.
    Key Responsibilities:
     Design and produce construction drawings for rock climbing walls, full climbing gym facilities, ninja courses, and custom play structures, interior design layout, millwork and design new products as the company grows.
     Effectively manages assigned projects from early conceptual stages through to completion.
     Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing design related documents.
     Manages client expectations, team communication relation to design, and communicate with our structural designer and  our engineer or architect.
     Ensures that all project work is delivered on time and on budget.
     Production of 3D conceptual renderings, 3D walks through videos and design presentation packages.
     Leading regular design presentations to clients.
     Leading correspondence with clients during the design phase of projects
     Working with internal and external Project Managers to drive project timelines and communicate these to clients and internal team members and Impacts Project Manager.
     Preparing or coordinating project layouts, specifications, millwork layouts, and design details with external architects
     Reviewing and providing feedback on the production of architectural drawings for accuracy, industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations required by the climbing industry.
     Managing external engineers and architects on drawing deliverables, completion dates, and construction documents
     Seamless handover of designs into production shop including the creation of detailed shop drawings, installation drawings, and CNC programming.
     Coordinate with the wood shop, CNC shop, steel shop and engineers to create and maintain efficient construction and
    fabrication processes when needed.
     Manage and guide junior team members in producing designs and design documents.
     Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and
    on-time delivery
    Job Requirements:
     Bachelor’s degree in design, Architecture, or a related field
     5+ years of experience in design.
     Experience and knowledge in rock climbing and climbing safety is highly valued
     Proficient and efficient in 3D modeling using SketchUp. Proof of 3D modeling experience will need to be provided
     Efficient using Sketch Up and Lumion rendering to produce presentation visuals.
     Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premiere
     Proficient in CAD drafting using AutoCAD, or Autodesk equivalent. Revit or Rhino for example
     Skilled in Solidworks
     You know current building codes and ADA requirements in both the US and Canada
     Knowledge of Vcarve Pro or equivalent CNC programming. Experience in operating CNC machines.
     Knowledgeable in commercial construction processes and methods.
     Knowledge of millwork detailing is considered an asset
     Strong ability to drive work to ensure deadlines are met
     strong team player with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
     Driven to problem solve and open to learn
     Have excellent verbal and visual communication skills
    $78,000 – $97,000 a year/ Benefits after 9 months
    individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
