    High Point Climbing And Fitness: Birmingham is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head Coach for our Youth Climbing Club and Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young climbers while fostering a supportive and engaging environment.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Program Development: Continue growing and developing a comprehensive youth climbing program that caters to various skill levels, ensuring a progressive and enjoyable learning experience. The current Birmingham youth program size consist of 120+ athletes.

    2. Coaching: Lead team of existing Birmingham climbing coaches to provide hands-on instruction for youth climbers, focusing on skill development, technique, and safety in both recreational and competitive settings.

    3. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire our youth climbing team, fostering a positive team culture, promoting sportsmanship, and preparing athletes for competitions at various levels through USA Climbing.

    4. Individualized Training Plans: Develop and implement personalized training plans for team members, addressing their unique strengths and areas for improvement.

    5. Parent Communication: Continue effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on progress, schedules, and team events.

    6. Collaboration: Work with other High Point Head Coaches and local facility staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.

    7. Safety Standards: Uphold and enforce safety standards, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants.

    Qualifications:
    – Passion for the sport of rock climbing.
    – Previous coaching experience in youth climbing programs or youth sports.
    – Strong understanding of climbing techniques, training methodologies, and competition formats in USA Climbing.
    – Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with both youth athletes and their parents.
    – Certifications in fitness, rock climbing, or coaching (CWA, USAC, etc.) is a plus and preferred.
