    • Act as the Human Resources touchpoint for staff with questions, concerns, or grievances
    • Create, distribute, and actively update a monthly schedule for front counter and events
    • Assess performance of gym policies, programming, and staff to determine if, when, and how they may need to change, then make appropriate and timely changes
    • Write and distribute occasional memos and messages in addition to running occasional meetings to keep staff up to date on organizational goings-on
    • Facilitate coverage of shifts in cases of changing staff availability
    • Maintain knowledge of the classes we offer and be able to teach them whenever necessary

    • Plan and staff occasional special gym events such as competitions, clinics, and theme nights
    • Function as a member of our front counter and event teams, maintaining an exact and practical understanding of how policy and procedure meet the reality of customer interaction
    • Function as a member of the management team, lending your experience and perspective to important organizational decisions, as well as occasionally assisting other managers with work in their departments
    • Understand, follow, and enforce all staff policies and procedures as stipulated in the employee manual

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • At least 18 years old
    • Toprope belay experience
    • Prior experience in a customer service-focused industry (food service, fitness, hospitality, retail, adventure recreation, etc.)
    • Ability to work occasional odd hours, evenings, and weekends to facilitate shift coverage or event management
    • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Minimum 6 months experience in leadership
    • Strong administrative skills, including effective verbal/written communication, organization, and workplace professionalism
    • Working understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other such software
    • Ability to efficiently and creatively solve complex social and procedural problems
    • Availability and ability to work shifts of all types in order to keep your finger on the pulse of different customer groups and community subgroups

    Not Required, but Preferred
