The Key Account Manager will focus on the development and sales execution of both existing Key Accounts and prospect accounts via industry research, market knowledge, and consultative selling. These accounts will include but are not limited to, Climbing Wall Builders, Family Entertainment Center Builders, Adventure Park Builders, and Distributors resulting in achievement of revenue growth, profitability targets, as well as being accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction.


  • Take ownership of and serve as the primary contact and strategic sales consultant for Climbing Wall Builders, Family Entertainment Center Builders, Adventure Park Builders, and Distributors, with responsibility for sales performance and customer experience.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans with each customer category (e.g., Climbing Wall Builder accounts), including targets and strategies.
  • Identify and appropriately target revenue growth opportunities, while retaining current Key Accounts.
  • Attain or exceed sales goals within assigned customer category/territory, while maintaining highest possible customer sentiment.
  • Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with all influencers of the buying decision in each Key Account and properly position Head Rush Technologies solutions for their needs.
  • Accurately forecast orders on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Proactively develop and implement contingency plans to ensure growth and goal attainment.
  • Prepare analysis and develop packages for new sales opportunities, including solutions (products/contests) and pricing. Pricing permission may need approval from sales management.
  • Competently display and demonstrate Head Rush Technology solutions.
  • Accurately estimate dates of delivery to customers based on knowledge of Head Rush Technologies production and via collaboration with Customer Service and Operations teams.
  • Work directly with Management and Sales Administration to ensure customer and sales data is captured in the applicable systems (e.g., CRM, ERP).
  • Master and utilize the CRM system to increase efficiencies and provide detailed information on sales calls, customers, and potential customers.
  • Input at least 90% of all data and activities into the CRM system.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions and assist in completion of customer order forms and documents, as necessary, and in alignment with Head Rush Technology policies.
  • Travel as needed to meet with potential or current customers, or to attend trade shows or educational events – travel requirements may be extensive and considerable given that this can be a national or regional position.
  • Collaborate with and leverage Sales, Marketing and Service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product support.
  • Develop and keep a current, deep understanding of Target Market account inner workings, the market, market dynamics and players and share market insights with commercial team.
  • Record and submit customer feedback and complaint data through the appropriate quality system processes.
  • Always represent Head Rush Technologies in a professional and responsible manner.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management, including senior leadership and the C suite.

This role currently does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Must be able to lead through influence and cross-functional collaboration.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of B2B sales experience within the Outdoor or Adventure Industry preferred.
  • Existing relationships within existing and targeted accounts preferred.
  • Experience ideating and executing programs to increase revenue and market share.
  • Project management, data analytics and budget management.
  • HubSpot CRM, CRM systems, ERP systems and Microsoft Office.


  • This position can be based in Louisville, CO, or remotely. Business travel will be required.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, video conferences, scanners photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • May be required to lift 40lbs.
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to demonstrate equipment functionality, talk, and hear.
