Hey there climbers and non-climbers (we will try not to hold it against you), we’re looking for a Senior HR Manager to join our team! As our Senior HR Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing HR policies and procedures that support our team’s passion for climbing and our organization’s mission and goals. We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in managing HR operations, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and compliance. You’ll work closely with Director of Human Resources to create staffing and workforce planning strategies that support our business objectives and keep our team safe and happy. Additionally, you’ll assist with yearly planning to ensure our HR initiatives align with our organization’s goals. You’ll also consult with managers on employee issues to promote a positive and fulfilling experience for our team.

PRIMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS//
Be the ultimate rockstar (get it?) and assist the Director of HR in the development and implemention of HR policies and procedures that support our culture of fun, safety, and inclusivity.
Use your rock-solid HR skills to assist the Director of HR in providing guidance to management on HR issues, including talent management, recruitment strategy, employee relations, and performance to ensure our team is ready to conquer any climb.
Assist the Director of HR in partnering with department managers to create staffing and workforce planning strategies that ensure we’re always at the top of our game.
Make sure we’re having fun (seriously, this is a big part of the job!) and create programs that promote work-life balance, wellness, and engagement.
Use your eagle eyes to develop HR metrics and reporting that monitor the effectiveness of our HR initiatives (in partnership with the HR Analytics Manager) and ensure our team is always reaching new heights.
Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure we’re bringing on the best climbers and support staff.
Manage employee relations to promote a positive and fulfilling experience for our team.
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations to keep us safe on and off the rock.
Assist the Director of HR in yearly, trimester, and sprint planning to ensure our HR initiatives align with our organization’s goals.
Consult with managers on employee issues to promote a positive and fulfilling experience for our team. And if needed, assist in lower level internal investigations – no need for ropes or harnesses, though!
Handles discipline and termination of non-management staff in accordance with company policy – we won’t make them rappel down the mountain, we promise.
Infuse cultural values throughout the organization and best workforce practices in collaboration with department leaders. Let’s make sure our values and culture are as strong as our climbing skills!
Manage effective communication to keep employees informed and up to date.
Assist in the development of employees’ skills, career satisfaction, and the company’s culture, in order to increase productivity and drive the company towards greater success. Making sure our team is always growing and developing.
Assist the Director of Human Resources in identifying skill gaps and employee career development needs in order to provide appropriate coaching and training. We want to help our team reach the summit of their careers!
Development of training materials for employees and management as needed. We’ll make sure everyone has the right gear for the climb ahead.
Files state and federal reporting including EEO-1 reports.
Audits processes and data to ensure compliance and integrity. Let’s make sure we’re always climbing with integrity and following the rules.
HRIS & Benefits Software maintenance as needed.
Administration of unemployment and workers compensation
Other duties as assigned. We’re a dynamic and fun organization, so be ready for anything!
You’ve got a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
You’ve got at least 7 years of HR management experience, preferably in a fun and dynamic environment.
You’ve got a solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (because safety is important, even off the rock).
You’ve got excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
You’ve got proven ability to manage HR teams (because teamwork makes the dream work!).
You’re a data-driven climber who knows how to use numbers to drive decision-making.
You’ve got a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 DOE
