Sportrock Climbing Centers is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our leadership team. In this position you will oversee one of our facilities in the DC metropolitan area, helping to further grow and lead the amazing community we have established in our almost 30 years in business.  A background in facility operations/management is a plus, along with a strong work ethic, passion for leading others and customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations and maintenance of facility
  • Oversee staff, to include interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling
  • Oversight of membership sales
  • Select administrative responsibilities to include payroll, weekly sales reporting and supply/equipment inventory and ordering
  • Assist with annual facility budget
  • Maintain and enforce company specific policies and procedures
  • Foster and maintain a positive work culture via employee recognition initiatives and team building activities
  • Coordination with marketing, youth programs, outdoor guiding, routesetting, and events teams


  • Leadership and management experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Rock climbing experience or willingness to learn
