    Sportrock is looking for a full-time Routesetter to join our team! With three full service facilities and the Sportrock Performance Institute, we are looking to expand our program.

    The perfect candidate for this role would possess a passion for the climbing industry, a creative eye for route design, and a strong attention to detail. As a Sportrock Routesetter, you will be responsible for setting routes and boulders among three full service locations and one bouldering only facility, maintaining a safe environment, and being a part of an industry leading routesetting program. Sportrock is a fast-paced and physically demanding environment and general responsibilities can be found below.

    Responsibilities:

    -Set and maintain climbing routes in accordance with industry standards

    -Reset routes regularly to ensure a variety of product

    -Monitor route quality and safety

    -Assist with routesetting related customer inquiries
    -Perform general maintenance and upkeep of all Sportrock facilities

    -Set and facilitate in house competitions

    -Actively pursue further education and USAC progression

    -Help in the development of Sportrock Routesetting Interns and Assistants

    Reqiurements:

    -Minimum 2 years of commercial routesetting experience

    -USAC Level 2 or higher preferred

    -Knowledge of common techniques, safety protocols, and setting methods

    -Ability to work with a team and communicate effectively

    -Deep understanding of climbing fundamentals, creative eye for designing challenging and dynamic routes.

    -Resetting routes and boulders on a regular basis to ensure that a variety of climbing options are available to our customers

    -Ability to work independently

    -Comfortable and competent working at heights

    -Ability to work under minimal supervision when needed

    Compensation-

    -$45,000-$60,000 per year, based on experience.
