This gym is awesome! With one of the best lead walls in the industry, Central Rock – Watertown can host some serious rope events, which they do quite well during their Rings of Fire pro lead comp. With 23,000 sq. ft. of floor space they were able to put in a 10 meter speed wall, yoga room and all the other amenities one would find at a modern climbing facility.
They also care about the quality of the product on these huge walls and it shows in their commitment to hire top notch pro routesetters such as Shane Messer, a USAC Level 4 National setter.
Their Watertown facility is just one of four gyms operated by Central Rock and is part of a trend in the Northeast towards big, bright full amenity climbing gyms.
